I would not recommend playing all of these songs at the same time.
I like this video :) It actually heavily reminds me of this excellent book I read where a character lives in a big horrible city and there’s a massive flood and he gets in a canoe with a former boxer who he has just revived from a coma.
The book is called Pay As You Go by Eskor David Johnson. I liked it so much that I reached out to the author, and now we are friends on instagram. I encourage you to meet your heroes. I also sent him this music video because we are friends and that is what friends do.

HUGE crush
Became totally fascinated with John Grant recently. I was a HUGE Father John Misty fan (and I am not ashamed) in my teens and feel like I’ve finally figured out who he has been pretending to be all these years.
He’s the long-suffering lord byron of my dreams.
Should I mail him this portrait I drew of him?

I have always loved k.d. lang, but have recently found a renewed appreciation for her; recently I road tripped around Nova Scotia and I surrounded myself with her voice.
Near Shediac, New Brunswick, I was woken by torrential rain and howling wind. It was definitely related to a passing hurricane (ernesto???). The wind tore apart my tent as I tried in vain to pin the sopping wet corners to the ground with my hands and feet. I stuffed everything into my car and started driving away at 4am. The wind battered my car, threatening to toss me into the sea. I turned up the volume on “Shadowland” and pushed through to Truro.
